Elliot's Heart Writeup

andallthekingsmenSo, all you really need to know about Elliot's heart is that the True Heart got this. Unlike other WEAKER hearts, the true heart has close to complete dominion over Elliot's heartscape. The limited things he cannot do are:
1) He can't get rid of Humpty Dumpty or sever the contract. Right now HD has no power because Elliot hasn't gotten that skill back, and when he does there WILL be a struggle, but even then the True Heart, knowing where it is, has the power to keep it in lock down.
2) He can't get rid of the giant bull that is Elliot's RAGE. Or, do much about the fact that many things trigger it into violent reaction. But he can keep it away from important shit and that's about it for now.
3) He can't 'fix' Elliot's sexuality, because he has the same problem Elliot has! He flat out lacks the knowledge to sort through it and make it 'right'.
4) He can't give Elliot the right answers to everything. It would require babysitting the chibi's constantly and that would be a nuisance. He trusts Elliot to generally reach the correct conclusion, even if it takes him a little while.
5) He also doesn't know anything doesn't know, but because he isn't weighed down by Elliot's personality flaws he reaches effective conclusions much faster.
But outside of this stuff, his power is pretty much unlimited! That does mean that he could fix every crack and dent in Elliot's heart, and that everything that IS there is there according to his will. This includes signs of destruction, or things like the mirror that Vincent broke (and the true heart promptly fixed). Because you see, the TH's motive isn't Elliot's happiness, it's Elliot's competence as a reliable and decent human being. At times, you need suffering to learn, and a part of decency is not easily getting over really god awful things like murdering your own family, against your will or not. So the things that shatter parts of Elliot, the TH will permit, because frankly enduring that, perhaps forever, is part of life. It has weight and it is important, and the TH won't erase that.
It also means the TH is very protection of the heart! HE HAS THIS PLACE THE WAY HE WANTS IT, guards are set up to keep interlopers from moving shit around. There are only two places were people are permitted to fuck with shit, and that is because either A) the TH doesn't know what to do with it and thus invites change to get somewhere (Elliot's sexuality) or B) the nature of the area means that debate is going to happen (battling the chibis and such). Anywhere else and guards will kick you in the teeth for trying, and the TH will fix whatever you messed up anyway.
As such, Elliot's heart was much more a show-and-tell heart than a fuck shit up or help him out heart. It was hard to get points (The highest anyone scored in the first five hours was 5 points) because the True Heart was really easy to find, and you can't change much! But I figured/hoped Elliot's CR would enjoy it because it is just so Elliot '-'
Changes!
The only changes to Elliot's personality come from Yuri.
-First, Yuri broke the lock on the sexuality room! This will basically make it easier to talk to Elliot about this stuff. He is less likely to totally lock up or flat out run away.
-Second, he moved Elliot's porn stash to the shelf, which means he will uh. Be more likely to access it '-';;
-Three, he FOUGHT FOR THE SEXUALITY CHIBI and created a small group of chibis that will fight for the cause of SEX IS OKAY. They are a SMALL GROUP and if they never get help they will still lose the majority of Elliot's internal arguments, but there will actually be a fight now...
-Also worth noting that in general dusting off/moving around in the sexuality room makes it slightly less uncomfortable. But only slightly.
Relationships
Interaction with the True Heart DOES carry over to some degree. Elliot doesn't remember it, but it does impact him. In some cases, where interaction isn't very different than how someone would normally deal with Elliot, there is no notable change. But for the rest...
-Axel is probably the biggest one. For SOME REASON Elliot will just be very comfortable with being honest with Axel about personal stuff. This MAY RECEDE if he catches himself doing that and wondering about it, but he will basically answer any question honestly for a while.
-Mikage went the opposite direction. To the True Heart he came off as invasive, narrow minded, and judgy. True Heart wasn't impressed, so Elliot won't be either.
-Oz pushed hard to try to get info out of the True Heart, but the True Heart refused. IDK that this really changes anything, but Elliot will not be very surprised when Oz comes to harass him for info. He similarly won't be surprised that Gil is broken up with Acedia but with someone else now.
-The True Heart figured out really quickly what Elliot has failed to notice for YEARS, which is that Gil is shy and awkward and has no idea how to express affection. Elliot will... not be overtly aware of this but will probably unconsciously realize and respond to it.
-And Leo! Shared some issues with the True Heart that Elliot will subsequently be more aware of as well. Particularly this weird idea that disappointing Elliot can somehow lead to Elliot abandoning Leo, which is SO FAR OUTSIDE OF ELLIOT'S WAY OF THINKING that he would never realize it unless plainly stated 8D; Also a greater awareness that Leo is REALLY REALLY nervous about his sanity issues.

I AM NOT GOING INTO THE SYMBOLISM OF EVERYTHING, since most of it is either REALLY OBVIOUS or something that Elliots explained themselves in the course of the game. But if you have questions I will answer =|b
